Aromatherapy – II. Part: Mind and emotions
Value of Makeup is the major part of our sense of taste (note the effect of your taste and odors when you are cold or cold or nose-throat, nose and mucous diet).
The odor of our ancient ancestors was sensitive to ours. Through their smell and sight, they identified each other, and they perceived the usefulness of the plant by its odor. They also followed the animals with odors.
The sensation of smell helps to distinguish between "good and bad smells that tell us whether food is fit to be or if there is illness or hygiene." A few hundred years ago, Doctors will use sensory odor as a diagnostic tool GLOVES AND DISEASE Arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis and good midwife show the post-partum bleeding through the permeated odor of the blood, diabetes gives acetone to the breath and urine, sweating can give clues to kidney health and lymphatic system, the scent of stool can tell us the type of gastrointestinal disease, natural cure is still using this diagnosis
Human nose can distinguish thousands of different odors, and the memory of these odors is stored in deeply subtle minds (L
When we inhale the air molecules that "fragrance" the molecules of essential oils, these molecules fit into the nose end portion of the nose and stimulate these nerve endings .
Sensory stimulation of the Olfactory Center in the nose is mediated by the nerve impulses of the brain nerve endings.
This is a very fast and straightforward part of the brain that contains guidelines, controls, interpretations and responses to sensory interventions.
This path is very different from the sensory pacing of more complex sensory nerves, from sensory nerve to spinal cord, to brain, spinal cord, motor to nerve end and proper organs. For example, when touching a hot object, heat affects the sensory nerve, say the finger. This nerve transmits a message along the sensory nerve fibers to the spinal cord roots. The pulse goes to the brain. The brain says, "It's hot that's hot, just take your finger off."
This message directs the spinal cord to the engine's nerve root and then to the appropriate muscle (s) to remove the finger from the hot object. As you will know from your own experience of touching some heat, there is often a time lag between touching the hot object and recognizing the pain.
There is no relay station at the Olfactory Nerve – stimuli directly refer to the central nervous system, the LIMBIC SYSTEM, and the response is immediate. In addition, the message can not be blocked by the conscious mind.
An interesting and exciting feature of this use of Essential Oil Therapy is that the various essential oils give a different answer. Some influence the higher thinking patterns of the cerebral corpus by altering the electrical activity of the various cortical areas, and some of them affect the production of cells in the limbic system. These "brain hormones" will either affect the mental and emotional responses of the brain or are released into the blood stream, from which they can be transported into distant organisms to have the desired effect on body chemistry.
