Essential oils for asthma

Asthma is a frequent, chronic inflammatory disease of the respiratory tract characterized by variable and recurrent symptoms, reversible airflow obstruction, and bronchospasm. Common symptoms include cough, chest tightness, shortness of breath and wheezing.

It is a combination of genetic and environmental factors. The diagnosis is usually based on symptoms, response to therapy, and spirometry. Such a condition requires medical treatment and is often used for inhaled short-acting beta-2 agonists (e.g., Salbutamol) and oral corticosteroids. Symptoms can be prevented by avoiding causes such as allergens and irritants. Essential oils can be used in conjunction with medical treatment to combat systems associated with this disease. The use of the essential oils described below should always be used for conventional medical treatment.

Eucalyptus Essential Oil

The strong smell of Eucalyptus opens the lungs overloaded airways. Eucalyptol, which breaks down the mucous membrane and the phlegm, is an oil component that allows asthmatics to breathe easily.
