Hypermetropia and Laser Eye Surgery
Hypermetropia can be described as a long way in which a person can better look at images far from the closer views of images. Scientifically, in this error, the light rays are centered behind the retina, which needs to be properly formed on the retina. Hypermetropia is caused by the deposition of the cornea or the shortening of the eyeball. The problem may be caused by a combination of both.
Laser Surgery improves Hypermetropia by making the cornea of the eye more steep in order to re-focus the rays of light at the back of the eye
Corneal sculpture is a medical procedure for Hypermetropia , which consists of the use of a laser to convert the surface of the eye.
Eye cornea is a transparent fabric that covers the front of the eye and helps regulate the focus. In laser surgery, a computer-controlled laser is used to remove the microscopic amount of tissue from the front surface of the eye, called a cornea
In the photorefractive keratectomy operation, the thin outer layer of the cornea, the so-called corneal epithelium, is removed and the layers underneath are transformed
During LASIK laser surgery, the thin sheet of corneal tissue is performed with microsomal or femtosecond laser. The wing then rises and the fabric underneath is transformed and the wing is replaced to cover the new surface.
Hyperpermetropia is not a disease but a flaw in the eye that can only be performed if the person can not wear glasses or contact lenses. The person must be at least 20 years old to consider laser surgery. The refractive error must be stable. Diabetes, uncontrolled rheumatoid conditions, or immune system disorders are avoided. Abnormal corneas or very thin corneas should also be avoided.
The laser does not burn the tissue, but evaporates the small amount of cornea in each shot. Laser beam diameter and number of pulses are controlled by computer technology
After surgery, your eyes may be dehydrated or even get infections that should be treated with antibiotics
