What is Monovision?
The basic definition of monovision is to approach one eye and to set long distance vision. This means that each eye works independently of each other. If you choose monovision, your dominant eye or the one you focus on the camera will become the eye of distance and the other one in the near future.
Aim of Monovision
The corrections used to create mononuclearization can be performed by:
· surgery with laser eye relief
· with IOL (intraocular lenses)
· traditionally with some contact lens
a specialist may recommend contact lenses by monoling to find out how to adapt to it before choosing LASIK for permanent mononization. If monovision is created with laser vision correction and is not well tolerated, then with the other eye, you can reverse the LASIK treatment by doing the same.
Even if monotony sounds weird, because we are working with our eyes, they can benefit. Monovision works because the brain chooses the right image for the proper task and ignores or deletes the vague image of the other eye. This method is a kind of vision that is called simultaneous vision. For example:
· If you need reading and vision, the remote vision image will be filtered out
· When you are driving and looking far away, the close-up image will be filtered
Some reported side effects of mononucleosis, such as:
· Loss of sharpness, [
] Loss of vigilance · Decreased depth sensation
· Blurred close-up.
People who want a very sharp vision for a hobby or occupation are not satisfied with the results of monovision. Monovision may require people to give up the small-angle vision to approach vision. There are also reports of shadows when trying to read small prints. In order to correct these problems, people with monovision need prescription glasses for things such as night driving
However, the cost of mononization is lower than some other options than the bifocal or multifocal implantable lenses
if you want to preserve both close-up and long-distance vision, especially if you are over 40-45 years old. This is when the presbyopia rises up to us. Presbyopia can easily change the curvature by aligning the lens to fit near the sight. Readers Glasses Needed
Like other vision enhancements, you need to discuss monovision carefully with optional waste, to determine whether it will benefit or not. Dr. Jonathan Davidorf of West Hills, California, offers more information on [http://www.davidorf.com/vc_monovision.html] on the monovision website.
