Yin and Yang Aromatherapy – Lavender and Peppermint using essential oil at home

Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils for physical and emotional well-being. They consist of naturally occurring chemicals that work synergistically with each other. Unlike the prescription drug, the healing properties of essential oils have been recovering for thousands of years.

Two of the widest essential oils are lavender and peppermint. Think of these two oils like yin and yang. Lavender is warm and relaxing, while peppermint is cool and invigorating.

Each morning add eight to ten drops of peppermint essential oil to a fragrance of water to help you arouse. Peppermint can also be useful for fighting afternoon blahs and has a natural cooling effect. Put a drop on a bottle of milk, close your eyes and breathe deeply. If you are prone to headaches, mix an eighth cup of barrel oil, such as sweet almonds or extra virgin olive oil, with 12 drops of peppermint and massage the temples, neck and forehead

Add a drop of lavender in the bath to the evening, and takes more deep breaths to help relax. Try a few drops directly on the pillow case or a cotton bud when it is difficult to sleep. Lavender can help reduce emotion balance, relieve stress and reduce blood pressure. It is useful for skin and can be used to treat patches, scratches, sunburn and rashes. Add a drop to a wet cotton ball and apply it to the affected area.

One of the easiest ways to make your own body lotion is lavender or peppermint. Buy a high quality non-soda additive and add thirty-forty drops of oil or a combination of two oils.

Essential oils are naturally antibacterial and antiviral and are effective in treating colds and influenza. Fill a bowl of water, gently warm it, then add some drops of lavender and peppermint. Put a towel on your head, close your eyes and inhale. When the water cools, take a detergent and squeeze the brow. This helps to relieve headaches and sine pressure.

Replace your room refreshments and the chemicals inside it and the propellants that break down the ozone layer. Add several drops of lavender or peppermint essential oil to a bottle filled with distilled water and gently shake it before you close the room. Use lavender such as canvas and peppermint on its countertops and floor tiles to prevent household pests.

Use essential oils as an alternative to products for everyday health and well-being. A few words about cautiousness – except for lavender and tea tree – should never be used on the skin.
